Aged Well but Still Old

The Korg SP-250 is one of the oldest digital pianos on the market. It has aged incredibly well, but it still suffers from old age. There are better digital pianos out there at a cheaper price. For more information, go to this site: http://www.thedigitalpiano.net/the-digital-piano-review-korg-sp-250/

While the Korg SP-250 is one of the best entry-level digital pianos, you must also remember that “one of the best” does not mean the best. As a result, there’s no point in buying the Korg SP-250 when you can get “the best” for cheaper. For example, because of the older technology used in the Korg SP-250, it is more expensive to make. As a result, it’s $700, despite not having the features or power represented in other cheaper models like the Yamaha P95 or Casio PX-130.

The Korg SP-250 has aged well in that it is still better than many digital pianos around its price. However, it is not the best. Its old technology holds it back.

Tips for Enhancing Your Music Artist Website

I personally think some of the best hidden jewels on the web today can be found on independent music artists websites scattered across the web. With the rising popularity of social media networks, many individual artist websites have taken a back seat to what is now considered mainstream. Which is a shame…because cookie cutter, subdivision type designs will never replace the creativity of a uniquely designed website for or by an original artist.

For those of you that have decided web mastering and maintaining your own website is the only way to go, then here are some tips to help you get them most out of your own web space.

Make the connection right away.

I can safely say the majority of the artist websites I visits, the artist fail to make any kind of connection as to who owns the website or why was it created in the first place. The artist intro, bio, biography, about me etc; should never take a back seat to all the other content on the site such as; art, music, video, design and images. There must be some unwritten rule among artists which states, “Art or any kind of music posted on a website tells the whole story”. Maybe…maybe not! In my experience only the artist can tell the story in their own words. Don’t leave up to the visitor to have the patience or the slightest bit of initiative to figure it our on their own.

Title and Description

If there is one glaring omission I see over and over again with music artists website, are pages without meta titles or meta page descriptions. I really don’t expect artists to get into the nuts bolts of one page SEO for search engines. But every artist who owns a personal website should at least get a basic understanding and learn to utilize the some of the fundamental techniques to being found.

Social media

Lastly, social media networks are a great way to extend your network and to let visitors see another side of you that is often missed trying to cram your life story in couple paragraphs. I am often able to piece together an entirely different individual than just reading a bio alone. So having additional outlets definitely has its benefits.

I can safely say, many artists use social plug-ins to get the most out of their network, but there are still artists out there who ignore the potential benefits they can offer or fail to link to external media accounts when they do have them.

There are many online resources and articles with a lot of useful information dedicated to improving the user experience on artist website. So check into them. But start with these tips because they are often some of the most overlooked by indie artists.

Online Violin Lessons: an Option to Learn the Violin

Filed under: Music — Tags: — admin @ 10:14 pm

Learning the violin is rather difficult to learn that it is of utmost importance to be guided over in taking the lessons. To start right is to have a good start. There are two ways of learning this: possibly getting a personal tutor within your area or buying online violin lessons.

Finding a tutor may be rather easy within your area. The disadvantage, however, is the fact that there is no assurance that they are certified to teach, availability of tutor and instances of travelling far for the lessons under a restricted time. Private lessons are also pricey.

Taking online violin lessons is definitely an option to learn the violin. The great thing about web violin lessons is that you may do the lessons at your own pace in the comfort of your home. There is no pressure on schedule and time unlike when you hire a private tutor. The resource materials are rich and a good deal less investment. Why Buy IPhone 3GS Speakers, when You Have a Good Speaker on Your IPhone?

Filed under: Music — Tags: — admin @ 2:29 pm

Ever since Apple’s first iPhone was released four years ago, there have been many additional versions of iPhones introduced into the marketplace, and I have noticed that each iPhone speaker gets progressively louder. At this point, I would say that the iPhone has good speakers, including the iPhone 3GS. You can play music from your iPhone and the volume is a reasonable temperature that is appropriate for entertainment.

Nevertheless, nothing compares to a good set of iPhone 3GS speakers. With a legitimate speaker set for your iPhone, you can have music at full blast wherever you go. IPhone 3GS speakers enable you to play music that is a more appropriate decibel for entertaining friends.

While the regular iPhone speakers will do, the iPhone 3GS speakers provide a whole other experience. The next time you are sitting at home listening to your music on your iPhone, think about how much better it would sound with a great set of speakers for iPhone 3GS, or whichever model it is that you own.

Free Sheet Music for Teenagers

Filed under: Music — Tags: — admin @ 3:10 pm

There are many TV shows, movies and certain artists that are loved more than one demographic group than others. For example, teenagers can really like certain movies and certain artists (that I won’t get into details). Where can this sheet music be found? There are many places, most of which are very hidden and not easy to find – and that’s a problem! If you want free sheet music for teenagers (whether you’re a parent looking for sheet music for your teenager, or a teenager looking for cool sheet music) then you have a lot of work to do.

For starters, you must begin by browsing in the popular message boards. There also another issue here: do you know which sheet music to download yet? Or do you want to download something new? If you don’t know which sheet music you want, then I suggest a very good tool to help you: Youtube. Look for “piano” or “violin’ players and you might like what you see.

Went to After Party with Chill out Electronica Music

Filed under: Music — Tags: — admin @ 5:52 am

I had the best night out of my life last night, it was my first night in Ibiza the party capital of the world and my friends and I went to Eden one of the biggest clubs on the island. Not only was my favourite DJ in the whole world performing live there but I also got to meet him and get a picture and an autograph. I had nothing to sign so he ended up having to write on my new shirt in marker pen but oh well it was worth writing that one off! After the club wound down we went to an after party on the beach where they played a load of chill out electronica music which I really enjoyed and we also got to watch the sun come up which was just amazing. Quite an experience and we still have another thirteen nights left on the island!

Hip Hop Music Recording or How to Run an Audio Studio

Filed under: Music — Tags: — admin @ 12:31 pm

You might be wondering how beginner beat makers afford to run a professional audio recording studio. It’s seriously expensive nowadays and unless you are willing to invest some serious cash into music production business, then this is not for you.

However, there’s a more affordable way to do this for those, who are on a low budget. If you would like to make your own beats, but don’t have the money, then your only choice is something known as a beat maker program. These are computer applications, which can be downloaded from the Internet and installed on your PC.

There are plenty free beat making software available out there to make rap beats, but I wouldn’t use the freeware ones, because they usually crap.

Instead you should check out the one called Dub Turbo. It comes with a drum machine, 4 octave keyboard, track sequencer and much more. You should see it for yourself.

James Brown Web Traffic Statistics

Filed under: Music — Tags: — admin @ 9:36 am

Having to deal with a marketing firm on a regular basis is one of the most important things that an internet business is going to have to contend with. It’s a critical relationship that you’ll end up forming with these James Brown internet marketing firms, and they’re important relationships because on the web, doing business is almost entirely about the marketing, in a way that just isn’t so anywhere else in the world. On the web, there are things to marketing that are fundamentally different. For one, it’s a contact sport. Meaning, the more people you contact, the more folks you’re going to get to convert over into a sale. And that really drives home this point of conversion and being able to make money off of a steady stream of traffic that you might be getting into a site on a regular basis. And this is just something that you want to work on, on a regular basis.

How to get a reluctant six year old onto the piano

Filed under: Music — admin @ 2:15 pm

When a child is six years old is a wonderful time – but it can also be a very challenging time for families. Children are still distracted and they often are fidgety and can’t concentrate on one thing for a very long time. However, the child is still in a “Creative window” at this point. Their neural pathways are not fully formed, so this stage is possibly the most vital in getting children to be inherently musical later in life. Yes, children can improve faster if they begin later, but my feeling is that beginning young is definitely worth it, particularly on instruments that they are physically suited to play, such as the piano or the violin. The key is to get them to practice, and that is where a variety of practice aids such as Music Practice Charts and stickers will really assist to motivate them to greatness. This, combined with regular “concerts” for their family in the lounge room will motivate them to get onto the piano.
